Okay, so I may not be the most interesting read and I may not say anything that you don't already know but this diary is mainly for myself. I enjoy sharing it with others, particularly my close friends so they know what's happening in my world, but its still mainly for me. I love to type out my thoughts. Its a great break from my otherwise hectic day. And I love reading over old entries and seeing how much life has changed. So enjoy the read but try not to be too critical.
Pre-Thanksgiving Rush
November 22, 2006 - 10:23 a.m.
Its already Wednesday. Thanksgiving is tomorrow. My turkey is still halfway frozen. You'd think after 4 1/2 dsys that it would be thawed by now, right? (No, I haven't left it out on the counter for 4 days to thaw.)
It is already noon. Though I've gotten a little done, that huge list of stuff is still before me. I need to get started or I'll never get everything done.... I don't know why I agreed to do a full turkey. They take forever.... even if they're on the smaller side. I wish you could make potatoes a day ahead but they are always dry if you do and the taste is different. *sigh* Oh! I need to add a few more things to my grocery list. Blech! I have to go now for real! Hope everyone has a very relaxing and enjoyable Thanksgiving. For those of my friends that are traveling out of town or out of state, be safe! :) Love you guys!
A Heart In Turmoil - July 25, 2007
With a lot of assistance, I've been able to get the laundry folded. Now all I have to do is clean up the kitchen from baking, clean the dining room table of all my craftsy stuff, straighten the livingroom, load the dishwasher, do two more loads of laundry, put the laundry away, strip the beds and wash the sheets, clean the bathrooms, run to Wal-Mart to pick up more cellophane, pick up a book of stamps and drop a receipt for one of Paul's customers in the mail, mop the floors, straighten up the back porch, put the clothes that are in baskets in the computer room into totes so they can be placed in the attic, ....
I'm a bit overwhelmed at the moment. So much to do, so little time. And Mom-in-law comes over this evening so I have less time to do it all in. I still have to make a batch of shortbread cookies and two pumpkin pies (I'm so thankful that Paul cleaned out the other fridge so that I can use it for all the things I'll be pre-making tonight such as the pies, the deviled eggs, veggie tray, etc.
