Okay, so I may not be the most interesting read and I may not say anything that you don't already know but this diary is mainly for myself. I enjoy sharing it with others, particularly my close friends so they know what's happening in my world, but its still mainly for me. I love to type out my thoughts. Its a great break from my otherwise hectic day. And I love reading over old entries and seeing how much life has changed. So enjoy the read but try not to be too critical.

And I Want A Third???
February 27, 2007 - 1:50 p.m.

Today was one of those days where I thought "...And I want another?!" I guess every toddler goes through that period where they have to get into all those things that Mommy and Daddy say "No!" to. Morgan went through it when she was 2 1/2-3 years old. She got into my makeup right after I began selling Mary Kay (blech) and painted herself and other things with a brand new tube of mascara. Later on in the year, she got a hold of some Nesquick and tried to secretly make a glass of it. Of course that meant powdered chocolate all over the kitchen, the floor and yes, even in her bedroom. I have pictures of it. It was terrible but we do get quite a laugh out of it now.

Well, Haidyn has begun her reign of messiness a bit earlier than Morgan but equally as destructive. Starting with a scattered mess of diapers, shoes and plastic cups throughout the kitchen and ending with mommy's makeup drawer while mom was occupied with another mess. Not only did she half empty the messy drawer (messy from weeks of her failed attempts at emptying it), she decided she was going to paint with the first object that she picked up off the floor - that object? Mommy's favorite tube of lipstick. She got it all over her face - I'm talking COMPLETELY covering two-thirds of her face & all of her neck in a thick mess. She also got it all over the floor & all of the other products from brushes to deodorant that she pulled out of the drawer. And to top it all off, it is smeared into my favorite of her footy pajamas which, just in case you did't know, doesn't exactly wash out.

Of course my husband (and everyone else) finds this outrageously funny but I have to say that, at least at this moment, I do not find it so humorous. And I want a third?? I must be crazy. Of course I am. They are too precious and special and sweet and cuddly to be mad at for very long because of a half eaten, completely destroyed tube of lipstick. Oh yeah, I took pictures, too. I might even post them, just for a laugh for all of you folks. But right now, I have a waxy, difficult mess to clean in the bathroom and a ton of diapers to clean up off the kitchen floor. Oh the joys of motherhood!
