Okay, so I may not be the most interesting read and I may not say anything that you don't already know but this diary is mainly for myself. I enjoy sharing it with others, particularly my close friends so they know what's happening in my world, but its still mainly for me. I love to type out my thoughts. Its a great break from my otherwise hectic day. And I love reading over old entries and seeing how much life has changed. So enjoy the read but try not to be too critical.
Hodge Podge
April 11, 2007 - 4:59 p.m.
This has been one busy day. You would not believe how quickly laundry can pile up in one week. I've been working on it all day. Piles of folded laundry are stacked up all around me; waiting to be hung up or put away in drawers. I'm proud of myself, though. Usually half way through the day, I'm so sick of laundry that I quit. Today I resolved to stick to it until its done (or until Paul gets home from work, which ever comes first). Along with the laundry, I also wanted to get the floors looking nice again. We have only a crappy little vacuum that resembles a dust buster on a stick (our good vacuum is busted) and our mops SUCK. I went to Wal-Mart today looking for a steam mop but even though their website lists one available in stores, I was unable to find one. So, I pulled out the crummy mop that we currently have and scrubbed and scrubbed. Did I mention that I thoroughly dislike linoleum? Seriously, no matter how much you clean, it still looks dirty. AND, as soon as new dirt is tracked on it, it looks like you've not cleaned it in a week. How frustrating is that?! Oh well. On to new subjects and less complaints. I got the sweetest call yesterday from Spencer. He wants me to go to a play that he is in for school tomorrow. I feel very special. Though Spencer, Abby and Charles aren't really family I consider them as much. Its awesome to be able to watch the kids grow. Especially with my nephews so far away. So, tomorrow I will be going to a play. I will be sure to bring my camera. I am really looking forward to it. I will also be scrapbooking with Nancy tomorrow and I am really looking forward to that. I have been itching to do some scrapbooking in the past few days. So I will be busy tomorrow. On Friday, in the evening, we will be heading up to Mom & Dad Blandford's to visit and hopefully help Dad some more with the Storm clean-up. It will take a few more trips up there to get the bulk of the damage taken care of and I don't mind that one bit. I really enjoy helping Dad. Well, this is sort of a hodge podge entry but Paul should be home shortly and I should get some more laundry done before he arrives. My goals for the week: To get all the laundry caught up (including ironing, folding, hanging up and putting away); and to have each room straightened up if not completely cleaned (some of the rooms - like the playroom - require more than a little tidying up to get it clean).
