Okay, so I may not be the most interesting read and I may not say anything that you don't already know but this diary is mainly for myself. I enjoy sharing it with others, particularly my close friends so they know what's happening in my world, but its still mainly for me. I love to type out my thoughts. Its a great break from my otherwise hectic day. And I love reading over old entries and seeing how much life has changed. So enjoy the read but try not to be too critical.

Why I Write

I know it may seem like I do a lot of entries on here where most update only every few wees or so. But to me, this is more than an update for the casual reader or a place to occasionally put my thoughts down just for. Though there are a number of people that have access to my diary (I mean, it is a public diary), this journal is for myself and my husband. I have never been good at journaling in a note book. I've tried it several times during my life and have failed every time. For whatever reason, it is just hard for me to remember to write in my diaries on a normal basis. This, however is different. I am able to "write" in here as often as I think of it - which is at least a couple of times a week. I write about what is going on in my life and that of my family. I write about my baby girls. I write about my dreams, fears and aspirations.

I have had this journal since Morgan was first born. Back then, it was a journal for my family to read to keep on the events in the first months of Morgan's life. Shortly after I met Paul, I stopped updating but I began updating shortly after our marriage and have done so, faithfully ever since. I like to read back on old entries and see how my life has changed. I like reading back and remembering this event or that event that was special in my life. There are not a lot of extra curricular things that I do other than journaling in here. Most of my time each day is taking up with my girls and my household duties. But this is the one thing I do afford myself time for. Because this journal is important to me. As meager as it is, it is my life's journal, in a sense. It is a way for me to write my thoughts out to my husband. It is a diary of the happenings in this house that perhaps my children will want to read when they are older and have children of their own. Perhaps that's a cheesy thing to most. But it means something to me...
