Okay, so I may not be the most interesting read and I may not say anything that you don't already know but this diary is mainly for myself. I enjoy sharing it with others, particularly my close friends so they know what's happening in my world, but its still mainly for me. I love to type out my thoughts. Its a great break from my otherwise hectic day. And I love reading over old entries and seeing how much life has changed. So enjoy the read but try not to be too critical.

My Little Girls
April 20, 2007 - 1:36 p.m.

I'm learning a lot about Haidyn this week. She is a fiercely independent little girl and very strong-willed but she is also full of smiles and laughter and a willingness to help. One of her favorite tasks is unloading the silverware drawer (minus the sharp utensils!). It is adorable to hear her say "thank you" each time she offers a utensil to you. She is also good about putting away the plastic cups as well as the pots as the cabinets are at her level. Though she tends to make messes, she does not like living in them and you will often see her picking things up around the house (though over all, her messes out way her clean-ups). She has (for the most part) a happy disposition and is, of course, the light of daddy's life. Her greetings to Daddy can make his whole day. She loves to play games and music is a very important part of her life. Where there is music, there is a happy, dancing little girl.

In some ways, she and Morgan are a lot alike but in other ways, they are as opposite as night and day. Morgan is a very patient individual (something that Haidyn certainly isn't). Morgan loves to clean and can't stand messes. The only mess that she habitually makes is the scattering of dirty laundry in the rooms where she changes clothes. Both of my girls are very concerned creatures in their own right. They both seek to comfort when we are hurting or sad and they both are good at bringing smiles to otherwise downcast faces.

I love my little girls and am very thankful for their differences. I am so thankful that God has blessed me with two such wonderful children; so unique in their personalities yet equally precious in our eyes.
