Okay, so I may not be the most interesting read and I may not say anything that you don't already know but this diary is mainly for myself. I enjoy sharing it with others, particularly my close friends so they know what's happening in my world, but its still mainly for me. I love to type out my thoughts. Its a great break from my otherwise hectic day. And I love reading over old entries and seeing how much life has changed. So enjoy the read but try not to be too critical.
The Mess - His, Mine & Ours

Wow, it is definitely turning out to be a very hectic month for us. We have wedding showers and birthdays, travel for Paul with work, a week at the in-laws, Kindergarten boosters, play dates and a lot of house cleaning to do. -- At least I won't have any worries about falling asleep each night! Morgan is home and it is amazing to see how big she is getting. She is still a bit bossy which is very frustrating at the present but we are working on it. Combined with Haidyn's constant fussiness, I have developed quite a headache. Today is certainly no exception. Most of the morning has been spent telling Morgan to not boss Haidyn and telling Haidyn to stop freaking out and yelling. *sigh* I'm a bit edgy today. You would not believe how quickly air time minutes can add up on a cell phone. Between the four of us, we share 850 any time minutes on top of the Mobile to Mobile and Nights & Weekends (M2M and NW). Paul used 71, Cody used 59, Mari used 169 and I used a whopping 555 minutes! No joke. We spent $60 in over time minutes last month - again because of me. I could have choked! I am not going to be spending that kind of money again with this bill. So, unless its an emergency or someone my carrier, I've been having to put the calls to voicemail until this Sunday. I know it sounds sad but I am not about to spend money that we don't have. Next cycle won't have this problem because the majority of the 555 calls were from my parents while Morgan was visiting. "OUCH!" is all I have left to say about that. That, actually, is one of the biggest reasons that I am edgy lately. That and the fact that my house is a disaster. We have friends coming over on Thursday for dinner to visit with us and see Mari before she and Cody head up to Nevada. The work I have to do to get the house ready is ridiculous. My floors are filthy (both carpet & linoleum) and the house is cluttered so much that it feels like it would take weeks to fix. I am thankful that I have such an understanding husband, though. Yesterday I became quite overwhelmed while working on the house and I messaged Paul to vent my frustrations. I told him that really wanted to sit down and work up a schedule of what we needed to do to get the house back in order and he fully agreed so that is exactly what we did. Now I have a plan to go off of, and Paul will be helping me, room by room, to get things looking proper again. I am seriously sick of living like pack rats and so is Paul. We keep stuff for "sentimental" reasons but we never use it. And keeping it around in case we use it some day is not a good enough reason to clutter things up, be it in the house, garage, attic or storage unit. How sad is it that we go from a 900 sq ft house to a 1300 sq foot house and still require a storage unit?! THAT is another thing we'll be trying to address in the coming months. But for now, we focus on the house, getting it uncluttered and reorganized so that we can function comfortably and with little stress on a day-to-day basis. I'm just hoping that I can still get the house in order before Thursday....
