Okay, so I may not be the most interesting read and I may not say anything that you don't already know but this diary is mainly for myself. I enjoy sharing it with others, particularly my close friends so they know what's happening in my world, but its still mainly for me. I love to type out my thoughts. Its a great break from my otherwise hectic day. And I love reading over old entries and seeing how much life has changed. So enjoy the read but try not to be too critical.

Where Has The Time Gone?
May 11, 2007 - 7:30 p.m.

I'm not exactly certain when it happened but sometime between December 2006 and January 2007, our lives became chaotic. We went from having an occasional visitor or place to go mid week to running from one event to the other on a daily basis. In years past, we would go over to a friend's house perhaps every couple of weeks. Other than church, we did not have a full plate of events. Now we have to juggle schedules and adjust, adjust, adjust as different conflicts arise.

I am amazed at how busy we have been in the past few weeks and months. On one hand, I am thoroughly enjoying the social interaction and the lack of boredom that once haunted me. However, on the other hand I feel like there is no end in site for the amount of social events this year. We have something going on every single weekend this month and it flows on into next month. Our weeks are full of play dates, all day work trips, and meetings with friends. We have birthday parties, a graduation ceremony and bridal showers to attend. The bridal shower for Alexa is going to take up a large amount of my time beginning this coming week. I have games still to organize, favors to seek out and purchase as well as prizes for the games. I am so thankful that my mother-in-law is helping me out with the shower cake. I am looking forward to the bridal shower.

With all of the events, dinners, etc. that we have been busy with in the past few weeks, my house has suffered in a large way. My laundry room is ready to explode with clothing - both dirty and clean - that are in need of serious TLC. The bedrooms also look as if a small tornado came through. In fact, there actually was one - the storm was called Haidyn. My little one has become quite the mess maker and source of much anxiety as of late. She just requires more work than I ever imagined a toddler could require in discipline, affection and one-on-one time.

I think I am working myself up just typing out my thoughts of the latest happenings. So, for now, I think I will close and go take a nice warm shower to relax myself before I turn in for an early night. Lord-willing, there will be some relief in site from our schedules before things get all the more hectic as school begins this Fall.
