Okay, so I may not be the most interesting read and I may not say anything that you don't already know but this diary is mainly for myself. I enjoy sharing it with others, particularly my close friends so they know what's happening in my world, but its still mainly for me. I love to type out my thoughts. Its a great break from my otherwise hectic day. And I love reading over old entries and seeing how much life has changed. So enjoy the read but try not to be too critical.

July 05, 2007 - 7:40 a.m.

The day has finally arrived. We are leaving for Colorado in a few hours to start what we're hoping to be a wonderfully relaxing vacation. Only one teeny hang-up is standing in my way - packing! I'm still working on unpacking from Alexa's wedding. (sigh) So I have a laundry list of things that need to be done/packed before we can head out of here. I have one less thing on my list though, thanks to Nancy. She's awesome! While they were here for dinner last night, she cleaned my entire kitchen!! I am SO thankful for the help!

So, what do I have left to do, you ask? Well, lets see here. I have to catch up the laundry so that we have the essentials for the trip - i.e. underwear, socks, and t-shirts. I need to pack all of the clothing and pack it tightly (we're cramped for space). I have to gather up every blanket we have as its been in the high 30s at night in the Steamboat area. I have all the camping gear, tent and playpen to pack as well. There is a page long list of stuff to pack. And the kicker: I have to fit all of it into the trunk of our Jetta. Hah! If I can pull off that feat, I can do ANYTHING! LOL The feather down is going to be my biggest challenge. We need it for padding but its huge. (sigh)

I'm rambling now. I need to get so much done. And, on top of everything "camping", I was brilliant and planned a hair appointment in the middle of my packing spree - color touch-up and trim. So there goes an hour and a half of my time. And I can't cancel. I rescheduled it after I completely forgot about my Tuesday morning appointment. I can't leave her hanging again. I feel so guilty as it is. So, here's hoping that I can get everything done and packed before Paul gets home and still be able to relax for a few minutes before we head on the road. Otherwise, I'm going to be a zombie driving through Kansas in the middle of the night.
