Okay, so I may not be the most interesting read and I may not say anything that you don't already know but this diary is mainly for myself. I enjoy sharing it with others, particularly my close friends so they know what's happening in my world, but its still mainly for me. I love to type out my thoughts. Its a great break from my otherwise hectic day. And I love reading over old entries and seeing how much life has changed. So enjoy the read but try not to be too critical.

Jumping Through Hoops
July 20, 2007 - 11:23 a.m.

It is a little rediculous to me this day and age that companies are still making you jump through hoops in order to pay a bill. How many, I would like to know, still pay the bulk of their bills by mail? I might be surprised at the number that do, but I don't think so. Nowadays, the majority of consumers pay their bills online. Your electric, phone/cell phone bills, even your car or mortgage payments can be easily and securely made online. But there is always that one company that tries to make things difficult. And the sad thing is that company is usually a large, national chain with all the resources available to make it easier online.

Why, do you ask, am I going on about this? Well, I'll tell you. Our stupid mortgage, that's why. I pay all but 2 bills online (or by phone) in a month. In the past, even the mortgage was paid online. But now they have decided to change the system around so that you can only pay online if you sign up (or already have) a Wells Fargo checking account. The problem? There are no Wells Fargo banks around here. In fact, I think the closest one is near KC or SL. So, that leaves me SOL unless I can mail it in. Only problem with that is that we haven't received paper bills from them in a while because we always paid online. *sigh* Okay, I'm done. I just needed to vent about that. :P

On a completely different note, we are going up to Lebanon for the weekend to celebrate Natalie's first birthday. We may or may not be back on Saturday. I don't know right now. We'll see. So, today I get to repack. The one bright side, I haven't completely unpacked from Colorado so I won't have to do nearly as much! ;) hehe Well, have a good weekend all!
