Okay, so I may not be the most interesting read and I may not say anything that you don't already know but this diary is mainly for myself. I enjoy sharing it with others, particularly my close friends so they know what's happening in my world, but its still mainly for me. I love to type out my thoughts. Its a great break from my otherwise hectic day. And I love reading over old entries and seeing how much life has changed. So enjoy the read but try not to be too critical.

"Phone Call" Friends

With all that has gone on this summer - the weddings, the trip to Colorado, the trips to Lebanon for bridal showers & canning it feels like I have completely lost touch. For some, it is because of the switch from Seminole. For others, its because of the long distance. For others, its because their lives are as hectic as ours has been.

Mari was my constant companion last summer but she has relocated with her hubby to the hot hot desert of Las Vegas where he is currently stationed. As far as Krista and Nancy, we have all been so busy that even our phone conversations are few and far between. It seems like I have "seen" my friends more often through the phone than in person. Its really rather depressing. I will have a a bit more time to myself during the next nine months as Morgan is in school but I'm sure everyone's schedules will be kicking into high gear with school programs, sports & church events, etc.

*sigh* I miss the days when life wasn't so hectic. Ah well. Nothing I can change about the pace. Life just gets busier as the kids get older. I know I'd do better to call my friends more often than every few weeks. I am terrible at calling a lot of the time. I get so wrapped up in the day that its gone before I realize it and the "to-do list" is still as large as ever. *sigh* The ironic part of all of this - I'm the stay-at-home mom so I'm supposed to have the most "free" time. Yet so many times I've had to (depressingly enough) turn down requests to get together during the day because of Haidyn's naps, wedding obligations, etc. Honestly, if I don't have to go to another bridal shower, lingerie party or wedding for a LONG time, I'll be happy.

So I've rattled off enough. I need to get back to my chores. It is once again nearing the end of the day and I've still got so much to do. I just had to take a break from the terrible heat before I got sick. But now I have to get back to it so off I go....
