Okay, so I may not be the most interesting read and I may not say anything that you don't already know but this diary is mainly for myself. I enjoy sharing it with others, particularly my close friends so they know what's happening in my world, but its still mainly for me. I love to type out my thoughts. Its a great break from my otherwise hectic day. And I love reading over old entries and seeing how much life has changed. So enjoy the read but try not to be too critical.

Stupid Science

Okay, when did we start shelling out thousands of dollars in tax-payer money for research to the dumber half of the science world? Seriously?! Today's big science headline "Bad Marriage Bad for the Heart". Oh really? I thought that stress, depression, anger, blah blah blah are good, heart-healthy things to experience on a daily basis. I mean, really. Duh! Yes, if you're in a relationship where fighting, arguing, deception, distrust, and the like are a norm, it is going to affect you physically. All these negative things put strain on your heart. Stress leads to early heart disease, heart attacks, etc. I know, I'm living proof that stress can do BAD things. So why did someone pay that group of scientists to spend years studying the obvious? I mean, come on. I'm no where close to being in the medical field and I know that. Ugh.

And then there's the previous month's science "discovery": "Men are more attracted to opposite sex based on looks than women." Well, that wasn't the exact headline but that was the story. Really. So, I know all of you didn't know this before. We totally needed a bunch of egg heads to start a 10 year study to prove this point. And what's more insulting that wasting time on stupid studies like this? The fact that they end up as headline news. I mean, really!? You felt that the general populus didn't already know that big fat DUH "scientific-find"?

I'm sorry if I've offended the scientific community. I think that science is wonderful - to a point. When it comes to stupid studies to prove the obvious or races to be the first to create life outside of natural means... well, that's another blog all together.
